Glenn Michelle - Managing Director

With 30 years in the engineering industry I've been able to work on a variety
of projects throughout Otago. From Clutha dam, Macraes mine, Otakau Sealords fishing vessel, Aurora substations, and Delta EWP truck stripdowns. I'm Proud of our team and the work we do here, our fast, reliable repairs and serices reflect that. 

I'm married with 1 grown up child, If you can't find me in the workshop then i'll be out on trips away to Twizel for campervan fishing.

Paul Thomson - Hydraulic Specialist & Service Technician

I have worked on many different aspects of plant and machinery in the last 9 years, including 5 and 10 year inspections of all Delta mobile EWP, commisioning the Knelson gold concentrator, major works at the Waipouri Power Scheme, Roxburgh, and Clyde dams. It is engineering where I have found a profession that meets my need to learn new skills and increase my apptitute while rewarding my pride for workmanship and attention to detail and I think the whole team at Motion Specialists feel the same.

Dan Voke - Business Development Manager

Has worked at multiple industrial/ engineering product suppliers over the last 14+ years. Applied Industrial, Saecowilson to name a few.

Procurement Specialist, you need it? He will find it.

Has a nose for deals, Good knowledge of pressure washing equipment/ industrial hosing/ fittings & camlocks.

We have a vast range to suit your applications.

Not scared to get his overalls on and hands dirty to help a customer.

Supporting Glenn/ Paul/ Nick & Preston with parts needed to keep you running.

Nick Martin - Mechanical Fitter

When It comes to Engines/ Forklifts/Auto Electrical/ Hydro Excavation equipment & general mechanical needs, Nick is your man.

With many years spent perfecting his skills, he has taken Preston under his wing. We have all seen growth in young Preston due to Nicks teachings & encouragement.

Nick has gained the trust and respect from our customers with his knowledge and willingness to help.

With his love for Hunting, you could find him behind the BBQ at work cooking up the catch of the day.

If you see him driving around in MSU2 make sure to give him a big thumbs up and jot down his number, he is definitely on a few customers breakdown call list.  

Preston Foster -Apprentice

With nearly year under his belt as our apprentice, Preston has proven himself to be a valuable member of the team.

With guidance from Nick/ Paul and Glenn, Preston has upskilled in multiple areas, often helping the other team members on jobs.

With willingness to learn and the attitude to get the job done Preston will go far.

You will often find him doing the dirty work apprentices are known for.

Give young Preston a wave when passing by, it’ll make his day

Doreen Michelle (Dorz) - Office Manager

In my 23 years of Financial experiance you'll find small busineses, large corporates and community not for profits. One thing that hasn't changed is a joy for people and customer engagement. Helping and engaging with our customers is always the best part of Motion Specialists and for me that means it doesn't just end at the repair.

Ps. Happily married to the boss!

Tamsyn (Tammy) Park - Admin Assistant 

If you get the pleasure of calling into the office, Tammy always has a smile on her face.

Assisting Dorz with invoicing and various other admin duties, Tammy has taken a lot off our plate when it comes to end of month.

If you need help with any invoicing queries, Tammy will not rest until you have the answers you are looking for.

Previously working for WINZ , Mechanical and Various realtors, Tammy has a good background in dealing with people & their needs.
